Women at the Forefront of Creative Technology & Experience Design

Creativity knows no gender. But opportunity still does. Let’s change that.

Championing Women in

Creative Tech

Technology and creativity is rapidly evolving, the future of immersive design depends on inclusive collaboration. By making space for diverse voices—especially those historically underrepresented—we can unlock new ways of thinking, creating, and shaping meaningful experiences that reflect the world around us.

The Future is Diverse, and Creativity Needs It

The creative and tech industries are evolving faster than ever, but true innovation only happens when diverse voices are part of the conversation. Women are at the forefront of this shift, leading groundbreaking work in experience design, immersive storytelling, and cutting-edge technology.

Yet, despite their impact, women still face barriers in leadership, technical roles, and creative industries. The stats show the gap, but what excites us is the change already happening—and how we can accelerate it.

At Seeper, we believe the best ideas come from diverse perspectives. Our work in experience design, immersive tech, and interactive storytelling is only as strong as the people behind it, and that means championing talent from all backgrounds.

Creating More Spaces for Women in Creative Tech

So, how do we turn awareness into action?

✅ Building Inclusive Teams – We actively seek out and support diverse talent, ensuring that women have a seat at the table in the industries shaping our future.

✅ Mentorship & Growth – We’re fostering an environment where emerging creatives can thrive, learn, and develop leadership skills, with mentorship and career pathways that break down traditional barriers.

✅ Expanding Representation – The immersive industry is still defining itself, and we’re pushing for a future where new voices, perspectives, and talents shape what’s possible.

A More Inclusive Future Starts Now

The industry is shifting, and the momentum is on our side. Every day, more women are stepping into leadership, launching their own creative ventures, and proving that experience design, storytelling, and technology thrive on diverse thinking.

The challenge isn’t just about bringing more women into the field—it’s about making sure they stay, lead, and innovate without limits. By committing to supporting talent, breaking down barriers, and amplifying underrepresented voices, we can build an industry that is as inclusive as the experiences we design.

At Seeper, we’re here for that future—and we’re excited for what’s next.

Where We Go From Here

What comes next isn’t just about improving statistics or ticking boxes—it’s about transforming the creative landscape for good. This means reimagining hiring practices, creating accessible career pathways, and investing in environments where collaboration thrives over competition.

We need more spaces where people feel seen and heard. That could look like inclusive studio cultures, flexible working policies, or safe environments that value vulnerability, curiosity, and difference. It also means actively dismantling systemic barriers—not just within our teams, but in the technologies we use and the stories we choose to tell.

In immersive experience design, every detail matters. So too should every voice.

“To create a more diverse and inclusive tech world, we need to inspire and empower the next generation of female role models to pursue and develop their career in technology and become innovators, leaders and entrepreneurs. It’s a process and it’s not always straightforward. It takes time, action and support. Join us on a mission! Together we can make a difference.”

5 Bits of Tech Invented by Women!

The history of technology is often told through the lens of a few well-known names—but scratch beneath the surface and you’ll find a different story: one where women have been quietly (and not-so-quietly) laying the foundations of modern innovation.

From the devices we carry in our pockets to the systems that power our digital lives, women have made pivotal contributions to the tech landscape. Yet, their work has often been overlooked, downplayed, or even forgotten entirely. These aren’t just footnotes in history—they’re proof that innovation doesn’t look one way, come from one place, or follow one path.

This matters. Not just for representation, but because when we see the breadth of voices who’ve shaped technology, we open the door for more diverse ideas, creators, and solutions moving forward.

In celebration of that, here are five groundbreaking pieces of technology you might not know were invented, designed, or pioneered by women. Their stories aren’t just interesting—they’re a reminder that inclusion drives progress.

🛜 Wi-Fi Foundations – Hedy Lamarr co-developed frequency-hopping tech, which laid the groundwork for modern wireless communication.

📞 Caller ID & Call Waiting – Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson’s research in telecoms led to the development of these phone features we use everyday.

💻 Word Processor – Evelyn Berezin designed the first computerised word processor, changing how we write and edit documents forever.

🚀 Rocket Stage Software – Annie Easley worked on the Centaur Rocket software, paving the way for future space shuttle launches.

🔗 Domain Naming System – Elizabeth Feinler pioneered the first internet directories and the domain naming system (.com, .gov, .net).
