Madame Tussauds' First Projection Mapped Figure

Bringing Wax Figures to Life

Seeper collaborated with Madame Tussauds to create their first projection-mapped figure, enhancing the visitor experience by showing how wax figures are made. This innovative project, part of our ‘Living Figures’ R&D, uses stabilised video and advanced projection technology to bring the figures to life.

Aims

Our goal was to design an immersive set that prevents guests from casting shadows on the figure, stabilise and manipulate video for a static head, and create a groundbreaking projection-mapped figure. This project supports multiple projectors, moving heads, and sensor-driven animation to provide an engaging and educational experience.

Insights

This project showcases Seeper’s expertise in creating immersive experiences and opens the door for future innovations in figure projection mapping. Partnering with Merlin Entertainment, we pushed the boundaries of technology and storytelling, demonstrating the potential for interactive and lifelike exhibits in museums and attractions.
